They see a fun game; they play. Simple! Virtual Reality goes beyond the games we play at the cinemas and parties. In a couple of years, Virtual Reality might play an essential function in our day to day activities but do we have an idea of what it is about? Virtual Reality (VR, which is not to be confused with Augmented Reality and Mixed Reality) in layman term means creating a world different from that which you are in to give you a different ‘virtual’ experience. It came into limelight in the 1800s about the same time as photography though it’s the prototype that was formulated in 1838.

There is also a form of VR known as Virtual Reality Exposure Therapy (VRET), which is an open exposure form of therapy that treats disorders such as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Anxieties, and Phobias. Employees can also use VR to develop skills or solve problems without the consequence of failing at a task.

When will the takeover happen?

Virtual Reality has briefly surfaced in the world of gaming, entertainment, business, and education. But the technology is slower than some fans might have anticipated.

An analyst weighed the stage at which Virtual Reality is now with the “pre-iPhone” period of the smartphone. These devices existed before the iPhone was launched. But most users didn’t find them exciting. However, when the iPhone came, it quickly changed the smartphone into something everyone wants.
Presently, Virtual Reality is in a similar state, with genuine excitement about its abilities. And it might come sooner or later, or not come at all.
